Dr. Jean Dieden and the staff of The Animal Hospital by the Sea are excited to meet you and your special dogs and cats. Dr. Dieden takes the time to get to know each and every client and pet personally so that we can work together to deliver the best care possible. We appreciate you stopping by and look forward to providing you and your pets with exceptional service and care.

The Animal Hospital by the Sea is a full-service companion animal clinic, offering pet wellness care for all your pet’s life stages, veterinary surgery,  pet dental careveterinary reproductive servicespet nutrition counseling, and an extensive in-house diagnostic laboratory and pharmacy. We also maintain a good working relationship with area veterinary specialists to keep you connected with the best treatment possible for all your pets.

While we do occasionally accept walk-in patients, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment to avoid a lengthy wait and/or the inconvenience on others. (Exceptions will be made in the case of emergencies.) All pets must be in a carrier or on a leash for everyone’s safety. If you need to borrow a leash or carrier, just let us know.

In preparation for your first visit, we graciously request that you fax, mail, or email your pet’s previous medical records to our hospital in advance, so that we may review them prior to your scheduled time. If you are a new client, you might consider downloading and filling out our new client intake form as well. This will allow us to speed the check-in process and more quickly concentrate on tending to your pet. You may scan and submit this form via email at info@animalhospitalbythesea.com or you may also fill out our online form to submit your information directly to our reception desk. 

Our introductory appointments will typically last 40–50 minutes. This time is required to conduct a thorough exam of your dog or cat as well as learn about you, your pets, and your lifestyle, details that will allow us to recommend veterinary care that is specifically tailored to your pet’s individual needs.

PAYMENT AND CANCELATION POLICY

Payment is due when services are rendered. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash payments, and Citi Health Card and CareCredit. Personal checks are not accepted.

If you are not able to make your appointment, we appreciate notice 24 hours in advance. This way we will be able to assist other patients in line.
